Followers
Followers are viewers who follow your channel. They usually also get notified when you go live.
Subscribers
A subscription lets viewers support your channel financially every month. Only Twitch Partner and Affiliate channels can be subscribed to.
Subscribers (Upgrade)
This alert fires when a subscriber upgrades their subscription, for example from Tier 1 to Tier 2. It's a meaningful event: the viewer wants to support your channel beyond the basic subscription.
When someone raids your channel, it's important not to miss the moment: introduce yourself, tell viewers about your channel and greet the newcomers. Raid and host alert widgets come in handy here.
Raids
A raid is when one streamer sends their audience to another streamer's channel. It's a way to build connections, grow the audience and develop the community.
Hosts
Hosting lets a streamer show (rebroadcast) another streamer's live stream on their own channel.
Hypetrains
A Hype Train is a special event that fires when the number of support actions (bits, subscriptions and so on) passes a certain threshold.
Channel points rewards are a great way to spice up a stream, and cool alerts for redeemed rewards make them even more fun and valuable for viewers.
Points
The event fires when a viewer redeems a channel points reward. Viewers earn channel points by watching streams and supporting the channel (bits, subscriptions and so on) and can spend them on rewards from the streamer. Available to Twitch Affiliates and Partners only.
When someone gifts you bits or subscriptions, don't miss the moment. You can thank the viewer out loud on stream, but a neat automatic alert makes a nice addition.
Bits
Bits are a virtual currency viewers spend on Cheer messages in chat to support you, highlight the best moments or make their messages stand out.
Gifts (Viewer)
A gifted subscription is when a viewer gifts a subscription to your channel to another user. A generous act of selfless support.
Gifts (Channel)
A community gift is when a viewer gifts subscriptions to several random viewers of the channel. Don't miss the chance to say thanks.
Gifts (Upgrade)
A gift upgrade is when a viewer who received a gifted subscription renews or upgrades it to a higher tier.
